These terms govern your use of cinemaweekender.com (the “site” or “hub”), the official hub for National Cinema Weekend, taking place across the UK on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026.
National Cinema Weekend is organised by Cinema First (Company Number 4220649), registered in the United Kingdom at 22 Golden Square, London W1F 9AD. Cinema First is a Limited Company which brings together cinema operators and film distributors with the shared objective of promoting cinema-going in the UK. When we say “National Cinema Weekend”, “we”, “our” or “us”, we mean Cinema First, representing its members, or any one member, as the context requires. The site is managed by Cinema First, powered by CineOS, and receives its film showtimes data from International Showtimes.
By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
The hub is a free information service. It helps you discover films showing during National Cinema Weekend and find participating cinemas near you, using conversational search, a cinema map, and film and showtime listings.
The hub is a signpost, not a shop. You cannot buy tickets, reserve seats or pay for anything on this site. When you choose a showtime, we send you to the participating cinema’s own website to check details and book. Any booking, payment, ticket, membership or offer is a matter solely between you and that cinema, on the cinema’s own terms. We are not a party to it, we do not process payments, and we take no commission from your booking.
Any ticket price or offer promoted in connection with National Cinema Weekend is provided by the participating cinemas and Cinema First, is subject to availability, and is governed by the terms of each cinema and the official event terms. Prices, participation and availability can change.
We work to show accurate, up-to-date film and showtime information, but the data comes from third-party feeds (including International Showtimes) and from the cinemas themselves and can change at short notice. We provide it in good faith but cannot guarantee that it is complete, accurate or current. Showtimes, films, prices, participation and availability may differ from what is shown here. Always check the details on the cinema’s own website before travelling or booking.
You agree to use the site lawfully and reasonably. In particular, you agree not to:
We may restrict or withdraw access to anyone who misuses the site.
The National Cinema Weekend name, logos and branding, and the design and arrangement of the hub, belong to Cinema First and its partners. Film titles, posters, images and trailers belong to their respective rights holders and are shown via third-party providers (a film database and YouTube). Nothing on the site transfers any ownership to you. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purpose of discovering and attending National Cinema Weekend screenings.
The hub links to participating cinemas’ websites and may link to other third-party sites. Those sites are outside our control and have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability, offers or practices, and a link does not imply our endorsement.
We aim to keep the hub available, especially during National Cinema Weekend, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times, and we may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of it (including after the event has ended) without notice.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and because the hub is a free information and signposting service:
None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the site, with the “last updated” date above, is the one that applies when you use it.
These terms and any dispute relating to them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have under the law of your home nation of the UK.
Cinema First, 22 Golden Square, London W1F 9AD.
